Course Description
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to develop patterns for custom-made footwear designs.
The unit of competency applies to making patterns for custom-made shoes and may involve the selection and modification of existing patterns. Design specifications may be workplace or client initiated. Assessment Tasks
Assessment Task 1 – Knowledge Questions: This assessment task allows you to demonstrate your knowledge required to develop patterns for custom-made footwear, measure, cut and sew custom-made shoe components and assemble and finish custom-made shoes.

Assessment Task 2 – Make Patterns for Custom-Made Footwear: This practical assessment will allow you to demonstrate your ability to develop patterns for custom-made footwear designs for a full range of leathers and other appropriate textiles and materials.

Assessment Task 3 – Measure, cut and sew custom-made shoe components: This practical assessment will allow you to demonstrate your ability to measure, cut and sew custom-made shoe components.
