Course Description
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to determine requirements of the kitchen design brief, research options, and make recommendations for materials, components and finishes.
This unit applies to individuals working in kitchen design roles. They analyse and compare product information from a wide range of different sources to inform a design solution.
No licensing or certification requirements exist at the time of publication. Relevant legislation, industry standards and codes of practice within Australia must be applied.

AT-01 - Knowledge Questions Due: Week 10
AT-02 - Kitchen Design Due: Weeks 2,4,8,12 and 16
AT-03 - Presentations Due: Weeks 8,12 and 16
All work for Assessable Tasks is required to be submitted on the due date and time as outlined in the
Assessment Briefs. Exception to this is where an approved DLU plan, an application for Special
Consideration or an approved Extension of Time is in place, submitted before the task's due date
with appropriate documentation.

If your work is incomplete, you are strongly encouraged to submit your work on the due date, in order
to meet the submission requirements. Should it be below competency you may be asked to resubmit
(within 5 working days), and for that resubmission, if deemed competent, you may only receive a
Pass.
Late Submission
Submissions will only be accepted up to 3 working days after the due date and time, with appropriate
documentation ie a medical certificate. Apart from the exceptions listed above, submissions received
in this period can only receive a Pass (50%), if deemed competent.
