Course Description
Note: This course is taught concurrently with the course: Develop Vision Systems Installations Plans.
The purpose of this course is to develop your skills, attitude and knowledge to enable you to interpret briefs for AV systems integration and to design AV installation plans.

Learning Outcomes
On satisfactory completion of this course you will be able to:
1. Analyse, document and discuss presentation space details.
2. Write and interpret design briefs for presentation spaces.
3. Research and choose AV equipment to achieve stated goals.
4. Produce presentation space drawings to a professional standard.
5. Design a presentation space from design brief documents.
6. Read and discuss architectural drawings.
Overview of Assessment
Semester 1
1. Practical: Electronic construction project: 30% of final course mark.
2. Progressive closed book test: 10% of final course mark.
3. Final closed book test: 30% of final course mark.
4. Research Assignment (1500 word assignment): 25% of final course mark.
5. Research Assignment Coaching Appointment: 5% of final course mark.
Semester 2
Progressive Theory Test, 10% of final course mark
Assignment #1: Practical Analysis, 30% of final course mark
Coaching Interview, 10% of final course mark
Assignment #2: Major Design assignment, 50% of final course mark
