Course Description
Create Web Pages with Multimedia covers basic XHTML, beginners CSS and web authoring using Dreamweaver MX. It includes an introduction to web technologies and the basics of site design and usability. A server will be made available for you to upload your own personal website which will become a repository of the pages you build throughout the semester. You will learn about the importance of interoperability and web standards including validation. You will create, for a client, a web site that is valid, optimised and usable.

Overview of Assessment
Student must demonstrate an understanding of all elements of a particular competency to be deemed competent. Assessment methods have been designed to measure achievement of each competency in a flexible manner. Assessment will incorporate a variety of methods: class exercises, homework, practical project and tests. Students are advised that they are likely to be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment work to their teacher to ensure that the relevant competency standards are being met.
