Course Description
Install and optimise system software course covers the skills required to plan and install a software solution.
Issues this competency addresses are taking regard of clients’ requirements, selecting appropriate software to meet these requirements. The course also covers the issues relating to installing the software and ensuring that it runs effectively.
This course is co-delivered with ‘Install Software Applications’ and ‘Install Software to Networked Computers’.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment may incorporate a variety of methods including technical requirements documentation, homework, in class exercises, written tests, practical problem solving exercises, presentations, practical tests and a final exam. Students are advised that they are likely to be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment work to their teacher to ensure that the relevant competency standards are being met. Students will be provided with feedback throughout the course to check their progress.
