Learning Outcomes
In this unit you will develop the skills and knowledge required to identify the types and sources of information required and use computing technology to access, input and store information commonly used within fashion and/or clothing organisations and businesses.
Details of Learning Activities
In this course you will develop documents that relate to the fashion industry formats and systems. You will use software such as the Microsoft Office packages, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
You will be participating in discussions and problem solving, while making integrated use of the computer software.
In class activities and assessments will be based on use of a PC and related operating systems/software versions.

• Intro to course
• Class activities related to the use of email programs; internet browsers and the RMIT website and Learning Hub:
• Class activities related to the use of word processing (Microsoft Office suite)

Overview of Assessment
Detailed course and assessment requirements and information will be made available to you first week of class. Specific details will be explained to you during scheduled classes.
This course comprises both practical and theory components. You will be expected to attend and participate in class activities.
As well as class activities you will be required to undertake research and assessment practice outside of regular class times and participate in formal assessment tasks.
PLEASE NOTE: work that has not been authenticated during class as your own work will not be considered for assessment.

Assessment 1: In class exercises - 40%
Assessment 2: Assignment - 60%
The assignment will involve the presentation of work that shows integrated use of software to create TCF industry relevant templates/documents.
