Course Description

This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to monitor the ongoing performance of a property or facility portfolio. It requires the ability to provide advice and recommendations to the client based on an accurate analysis of investment performance. The unit may form part of the licensing requirements for persons working in the property industry, including in the real estate, business broking, stock and station agency and property operations and development sectors, in those States and Territories where these are regulated activities.

1.1 Performance requirements are identified in consultation with relevant people according to organisational requirements.

2.5 Reliable methods for assessing performance are used according to organisational requirements, making efficient use of time and resources.

Details of Learning Activities

Students will learn through a number of planned activities (face to face classes, workplace/site visits, simulated workplace learning, online learning via blackboard and other forms of structured teaching and learning). Students will be observed and assessed through their planned activities throughout the duration of the course.

Blackboard

Blackboard is an on-line resource with the lesson plans for each unit. Within Blackboard are the session lessons plans, assessments, resources and other materials required for completion of each unit of competency. Blackboard Collaborate is an on-line delivery system within Blackboard that may be utilised as a virtual classroom that may be a part of the overall lesson delivery plan.


Overview of Assessment

Assessment may incorporate a variety of methods including written/oral activities and demonstration of practical skills to the relevant industry standards. Participants are advised that they are likely to be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment activities to their teacher/assessor. Feedback will be provided throughout the course.
