Lesson 1: Cultural awareness and diversity
• Discuss cultural diversity
• Discuss trans-cultural nursing
Lesson 2: Accept cultural diversity as a basis for effective workplace and professional relationship
• Discuss the resources and communication strategies to facilitate and ensure health care delivery in a cross cultural context, including workplace strategies and individual strategies, and the implementation of culturally appropriate practices in the professional setting
Lesson 3: Effective cross cultural communication
Discuss cross cultural communication and negotiation.
Define terms and concept relevant to cross cultural communication.
Lesson 4: Resolve cross cultural misunderstanding
Discuss strategies to eliminate bias & discrimination, including: cross cultural work teams, cross cultural employee representation on committees
