This unit describes the knowledge and skills required to develop a complete proposal for a complex site that satisfies the requirements of a client brief.

Learning Outcomes
This unit supports the attainment of skills and knowledge required to specify the furniture, fixtures, fittings and artworks for a complex site which may include a high end residential or commercial site with multiple themes and usage areas.
Details of Learning Activities
Learning activities will take place in a studio, workshop or classroom using industry standard tools and resources. You will complete exercises and industry style projects. You will also be required to undertake independent study

Overview of Assessment
• Effectively interior design for at least two complex sites to provide the client with creative solutions that satisfy the design brief
• Effectively apply design elements and principles in designing for complex sites
• Comply with legislation, regulations, standards, codes of practice and established safe practices and procedures for designing for complex sites
• Communicate effectively and work safely with others in the work area
Assessment Tasks
You will undertake one major project which includes several key components to demonstrate your competence in a range of areas.
This major oroject is to detail a proposal for a commercial space within an Industry Trade Show (Exhibition space)
Assessment tasks are linked to the subjects ARCH 5207C Evaluate Site for Interior Design Brief and ARCH 5208C Develop a Decoration Proposal
Assessment Tasks include the following :
Task 1 : Research Presentation
Present research on Exhibition design (national and international), site analysis and future trends. Submission Due : Week 2, Session 1
Task 2 : Preliminary Concept Presentation
Present preliminary Concept ideas to teacher including model, sketches, plan/elevations/sections. Submission Due : Week 3, Session 2
Task 3 : Final Concept Presentation and Documentation
Present final Concept in multi media presentation including 2D and 3D methods of communication. Submit working drawings and schedules. Submission Due : Week 8, Session 1
