Course Description
In this course you will be investigate styling fashion for TV commercials, print and catalogue in response to a brief. This will include creating a short moving image piece involving the planning, administering and monitoring of the project with an aim to conceptualise and think creatively around a brief.
This unit is delivered and assessed with BUSM7950C (BSBPMG522) Undertake project work and GRAP5364C (STYMED501) Style fashion for TV commercials and print media in response to a brief

Details of Learning Activities
Learning activities may include tutorials and simulated workplace exercises where you will be challenged to manage projects from concept to post production. Practical activities will assist you in developing, reflecting and debating different creative response projects. You will be required to participate in problem solving activities, self-reflection and discussion. Activities will encourage both individual and group based learning responsibilities and outcomes.

Overview of Assessment
This course is assessed in accordance with competency-based assessment. To demonstrate competency in this course you will need to complete all the assessment to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback from the teacher at the conclusion of each assessment task.
Competency is achieved only if competency has been demonstrated within the standard enrolment period. Students are advised that they may be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment work to confirm aspects of competency not evidenced in class or through assessments.
Results for this course are delivered and assessed in accordance with Graded competency-based assessment are:

Students will be eligible for a graded result higher than Competency achieved only if competency has been demonstrated on the first assessment attempt. Units assessed as ‘not yet competent’ on a first assessment attempt and ‘competent’ on a second or subsequent attempt are to have results amended to competent but will not be eligible for grading.

Assessment Tasks
Task 1 Moving Image - Due Week 5
For this task you will liaise with a collaborative team to create a TVC/Promotional video for a client (RMIT University)
Task 2 Still Image - Due Week 8
For this task you will create and present a series of 'pitches' for a new campaign for 7-Eleven Slurpee. One of you pitch concepts will then be selected to go into production
Task 3 Show Reel - Due Week 15
For this task you will create a show reel of your work to include in your portfolio. You will develop your concept, storyboard your ideas and execute production of the show reel. You can drawn on footage from both semester's work.
