Course Description

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to research, develop and implement business or records systems for a small office.

 

It applies to individuals who use a range of organisational, analytical and communication techniques to carry out the responsibilities of their role and report the outcomes directly to a supervisor or manager within the business or section of a larger organisation.

 

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Assignment 1 requires an understanding of key concepts & definitions, and the process of identifying the records system required by a business with regard to the nature of the business and its activities.

 

  • Assessment 2: Assignment 2 (to be submitted through Canvas before 11:59pm on 21/08/2020)

Assignment 2 focuses on how an appropriate records system is devised for a business.

 

  • Assessment 3: Assignment 3 (to be submitted through Canvas before 11:59pm on 18/09/2020)

Assignment 3 looks at devising procedures that maintain the records system, including training required by staff to facilitate the systems.
