Course Description

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to work respectfully with people from diverse social and cultural groups and situations, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

Overview of Assessment

This is a stand alone Unit.

Students are given two (2) attempts for each assessment to demonstrate the required skills. A third (3rd) attempt can only be offered after discussions between teacher and the Program Coordinator and is not automatic. Resubmissions beyond two (2) attempts are at the discretion of the teacher and/or coordinator.

Assessment Tasks

Assessment 1: Role Play. You are required to demonstrate learning and skills interacting with a client to identify diverse needs

Assessment 2: Role Play. You are required to demonstrate learning and skills interacting with a client to identify diverse needs

Assessment 3: Scenario Questions. You will be provided with client scenario's where you will be required to provide responses to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of this unit.
