Course Description
This learning unit provides students with skills on how basic marketing concepts can be adapted and applied to address Manage Customer Focus. The unit covers planning at the strategic and tactical level and the implementation of those plans to ensure that business expansion and internal & external customer satisfaction levels are in keeping with business plans.

Learning Outcomes
At the successful completion of this competency, students will have demonstrated competency in the elements that make up this unit.
Overview of Assessment
Students must demonstrate an understanding of all elements of a particular competency to be deemed competent. Assessment methods have been designed to measure achievement of each competency in a flexible manner over a range of assessment tasks.
Assessment will incorporate a variety of methods including assignments, journals, presentation and written test. Students are advised that they are likely to be asked to personally demonstrate their assessment work to their teacher to ensure that the relevant competency standards are being met.
Students will receive ongoing feedback on their progress in the course. Feedback on assessment will be given in a timely manner. They will be informed about how to improve their performance in the competency/course and what they need to do to be deemed competent or to gain a pass in the assessment.
