Course Description
This course introduces the student to concepts about managing system security as well as identifying threats to network systems. How to maintain a network and protecting data and to do an audit on a network. As well understand what computer viruses are and how to protect data using different encryption techniques that are available today. Understand the basic function of firewalls. What responsibilities do network administration cover?
Basic computer literacy and basic Internet experience are mandatory. Prior experience with computer hardware, binary maths, basic electronics and command line interfaces is desired but not mandatory.
