Patient records/histories, theory exams.
Assessment Tasks
Oral anatomy and physiology test. (The student has to competently answer at least 70% of the total number of questions) Tooth charting and notation test. (The student has to competently answer at least 70% of the total number of questions) Oral pathology test - (The student has to competently answer at least 70% of the total number of questions)
Report on impression taking procedures, materials, instruments and equipment in patient records
Formal assessment patient/clinic reviews – 2 x F/F’s + 2 x Chrome Cobalt Partials
Complete journal of experience in relation to outcomes of clinical experience placement (Patient records and Digital Case Histories/Pebble Pad)
Perform elements and performance criteria of competence as designated for this unit of competence to the required standard consistently across a range of variables during clinical placement. Assessment Matrix
Oral anatomy and physiology test (The student has to competently answer at least 70% of the total number of questions) - 10%
Tooth charting and notation test (The student has to competently answer at least 70% of the total number of questions) - 10%
Formal assessment patient/clinic reviews ( 4 x patients ) 10%
Oral pathology test (The student has to competently answer at least 70% of the total number of questions) plus a competent Oral pathology class presentation - 20%
Production of comprehensive case histories for each patient treated by the student. Case history to address all of the performance criteria. 25 %
Consistent clinical demonstration across a wide range of variables. 25%
