Course Description
This unit covers i) occupational work hazard identification, ii) identifying health and safety risks to workers, iii) classification of risks, iv) documenting control measures intended to eliminate or reduce the risk that could potentially arise during the conduct of work activities and v) consultation processes with those involved with electrical work. This unit primarily deals with the process involved in completing documentation and/or making appropriate modifications to pre-prepared documents.

Overview of Assessment
This is a progressive assessment, the students are required to undertake summative assessments as follows:
• Documentation of simulated workplace scenario tasks
• Assignment work related to occupational hazards, risks management practice and processes.
Assessment Tasks
Task 1 (Documentation Scenario): 30%
Documentation scenario to demonstrate identifying work hazards, record hazard and assess the risk in simulated work environment.
Task 2 (Documentation Scenario): 30%
Documentation scenario to demonstrate the control measure and eliminate risks, validate control measure.
Task 3 (Written assignment) : 40%
Written assignment to the understanding of legal responsibilities in managing and administering hazard and assessing risk in the workplace
