Course Description
This course covers the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to conceptualise and establish new systems that support and encourage innovation in the workplace.
This course is co delivered and assessed with BSBCRT601A Research and apply concepts and theories of creativity and BSBINN502A Build and sustain an innovative work environment.

Overview of Assessment
A range of assessments will be used to assess practical skills and knowledge. You will participate in a range of classes and workshops aimed at familiarizing you with key concepts, theories and strategies relating to creative and innovative practices, particularly as they relate to screen production projects.
Establishing a web presence as an innovative, functional, sustainable extension of your screen production work environment is integral to assessment.
Assessment Tasks
To demonstrate competency in this course, you will need to complete all the following tasks for assessment to a satisfactory standard.
ASSESSMENT TASKS:
Formative assessment tasks
1. System survey and design
You will investigate current examples of screen production based collaboration and communication systems that expand on traditional face to face, hierarchical work settings and procedures through use of digital networks.
a) Report on two examples of current practices that directly target screen production practice. One of these should be from the examples distributed through course materials provided.
b) Comment on the potential advantages these examples present for collaboration, feedback and communication both within and outside of the work/production unit.
c) Comment on which elements of this system design you think could potentially benefit your major production this semester through some type of innovation.
Presentation in class Due: Week 2.
Summative assessment tasks
2. Establishment of work system.
You will establish, sustain and build an online presence that augments or drives the communication, concept development, collaboration, management and/or publicity of a creative screen production project with the aim of enhancing innovations.
Online evidence of this will be due week 7. (Published by you in your own plog.)
3. System evaluation.
You will send feedback to two others in your cohort on their attempts to systematically foster innovation in their production.
You will report your experience and evaluation of your own innovative work system for your screen production project. Clearly review the successes and failures of the network-enhanced work system you developed for communication and collaboration in your major production. Comment on what changes you would make on a future version of the system you used in this production.
To be submitted on paper (1 – 3 pages) due: Week 15.
