3.1 Fabricate an open window custom tray to provide an accurate impression of tissue details and the relationship of the abutments to one another and to surrounding oral tissues |

Details of Learning Activities
Participate in theory sessions and practical workshops
Using workplace scenarios, participate in simulations/role plays/case studies dealing with implant retained overdenture procedures
Simulation:
Participate in individual case studies/simulations dealing with the provision of service of an implant retained overdenture in dental prosthetist workplace.

• Knowledge of the disadvantages of implant retained overdentures
• Implant attachment options for overdentures
• Knowledge of why medical and dental emergencies occur and the appropriate response
• Knowledge of dental materials
• Retracting soft tissues and moisture control
• Knowledge of the importance for clients to follow pre and post operative instructions
