Purpose of the Program
The Bachelor of Business (Honours) is a one-year program designed to elevate your knowledge within your chosen business discipline, with a strong emphasis on research and consulting-oriented skills development. This program offers a unique blend of academic rigour and practical experience through the enterprise practicum. This quasi-consulting bridge is a distinctive element of our Honours degree, preparing you for future success in consulting roles where ethical considerations and cultural sensitivities are paramount. The RMIT Honours degree not only offers a competitive advantage in the global job market but also lays a solid foundation for further research, providing a clear pathway to Research Masters and PhD programs.
During your Honours year, you will have the opportunity to deepen your understanding of a critical business area by investigating a contemporary topic. Alongside coursework designed to enhance your analytical, research and ethical research capabilities, you'll complete an Honours Research Thesis. The enterprise practicum will enable you to collaborate with industry partners on real-world projects. This experience will sharpen your skills in designing independent research studies, employing relevant methodologies, analysing complex business problems with ethical considerations, and expertly presenting your findings under the guidance of experienced research academics.
