Purpose of the Program
The TAESS00028 Work Instructor Skill Set will help students develop the practical skills needed when delivering training to others within a workplace. It is suitable for people from across a range of industries wanting to deliver accredited or non-accredited training, in roles that may also involve some coaching at individual or small group levels.
You will be encouraged to make connections with the program content and assessment tasks to your field of vocational expertise.
Upon successful completion of this skill set, students will be able to enrol in the fast-track version of Certificate IV Training and Assessment.

Applicant must demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching and assessing area. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.

TAESS00028 Work Instructor Skill Set provides the necessary skills and knowledge for people training under supervision in the VET sector, who work mainly in classroom situations.

This committee represents a broad cross section of the training industry and advises on training and assessment, ensuring that the program produces graduates who have the skills needed in the field.

Once you are enrolled as a student in this program you will need to allow for expenses other than university tuition fees. Additional expenses may relate to the purchase of lecture notes, textbooks, stationery, consumables such as printer paper, fees levied by commercial internet service providers for internet access outside of the university campus, and other relevant costs.
