Work integrated learning

RMIT University is committed to providing you with an education that strongly links formal learning with workplace experience or simulation. You will be working on capstone project based course in a safe Industry 4.0 manufacturing environment. RMIT is fully equipped with latest FESTO cyber physical system lab that has been recently purchased along with robotics stations to train you with latest industry 4.0 technologies. RMIT are also equipped with FESTO mini factory incorporating Bosch industry 4.0 solution for end to end manufacturing and hosted in RMIT’s Advanced Manufacturing Precinct. This Precinct in Building 55 is a simulated manufacturing site and you will complete project in real workplace simulated environment. RMIT purchased Siemens software packages that will give you access to the latest software applications e.g. Mindsphere, supply chain 4.0, Robotic simulator, artificial intelligence. The project work will provide you all the skills and knowledge required to work in the Industry 4.0 manufacturing industry. Work Integrated Learning (WIL) is delivered to you through this project. The Industry Advisory Committee will validate project design and assessment every year to ensure latest industrial practices are incorporated in project delivery and assessment.

MANU2523 Industry 4.0 Project is a capstone course where you will apply many of the skills and techniques learned over the duration of the whole program. You will be assessed in a simulated workplace context, with feedback from an industry and/or community representative.
