Course Description

This unit describes the knowledge and skills required to design, provide and promote a supporting structure and environment to enable effective and viable leadership to be provided within the community.

This unit is intended for application within a community work or community development work context.

Overview of Assessment

This course requires you to demonstrate your knowledge and application of skills in relation to working with community members to develop leadership capacities that will enhance their ability to lead and work within groups to collaboratively undertake project activities. Assessment includes written responses to underpinning knowledge questions, 3rd party evidence and participation in a scenario based in the workshop. Assessment is ongoing throughout the course.
