Course Description

This course provides you with advanced skills in software applications that are commonly used in the fashion industry. Digital engagement plays an important role in fashion enterprise and industry practice. In this course you will develop advanced skills in creative and business software applications for artistic and commercial outcomes.


Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development

Program Learning Outcomes 

In this course you will develop the following program learning outcomes:

PLO2: Apply a range of creative and commercial skills to successfully practice in a range of roles in the field of fashion enterprise. 

PLO3: Demonstrate creativity, critical thinking and innovation to identify and solve problems in diverse contexts within the field of fashion enterprise.

PLO4: Communicate using a range of formats and strategies to diverse audiences within and external to the fashion enterprise field.

PLO6: Take initiative and apply judgment in planning, problem solving and decision making in your practice or future study.


Course Learning Outcomes 

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

CLO 1: Apply advanced skills in specialist creative digital software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc for the effective communication of fashion enterprise concepts.

CLO 2: Utilise and apply advanced skills in commercial software in a simulated or real fashion enterprise workplace context. 

CLO 3: Evaluate advanced digital software/hardware systems and their integrated use within the fashion enterprise context.

CLO 4: Professionally communicate concepts using diverse creative and commercial software to audiences within and external to the field of Fashion enterprise.


Overview of Learning Activities

Your learning will be facilitated via a range of in-class and online activities that will require both individual and collaborative engagement. your classes will be conducted online or on campus. Class activities promote your ability to enquire, investigate, analyse and solve fashion business problems.

Overview of Assessment

You will be assessed on how well you meet the course’s learning outcomes and on your development against the program learning outcomes. 

Assessment Tasks: 
 
Assessment Task 1:  Creative Digital Portfolio (25%), CLOs 1 & 2 

Assessment Task 2: Trend Spotting and Experience Creation (35%), CLOs 1, 3 & 4

Assessment Task 3: Digital Product Discovery (40%), CLOs 2, 3 & 4 

Feedback will be given on all assessment tasks.
