Course Description

In this course you will learn the skills and knowledge required to work cooperatively with others and deal effectively with issues, problems and conflict. The unit applies to individuals who perform a range of routine tasks in a team environment and use a basic knowledge of teamwork in a defined context, under direct supervision or with limited individual responsibility. 

 

 This course is clustered for delivery with CHPRP003: Reflect on and improve own professional practice in Semester two.   

 

Assessment for this course includes a knowledge task, a group task and reflection and a group Research report.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this course, you will have developed and applied the skills and knowledge required to demonstrate competency in developing effective workplace relations, improving group work processes and resolving issues, problems and conflict.


Overview of Assessment

This unit is part of an integrated program. You must demonstrate critical aspects for assessment and evidence required to demonstrate competency in this unit. 
Assessment methods have been designed to measure achievement of each competency in a flexible manner over a range of assessment tasks. You may be assessed by: 
• Oral or written questioning 
• oral presentations 
• Assignments and projects 
• Direct observation of actual work practice 
• Presentation of a portfolio of evidence which may comprise documents, and/or photographs and/or video and audio files 
• Work-based activities 
• Third-party feedback from a work supervisor/employer 
Feedback will be provided throughout the semester in class and/or online discussions, through individual and group feedback on practical exercises and by individual consultation.
