Course Description

The ability to research, analyse and apply information relevant to work roles within the creative arts industry is integral to working successfully in live production.

In this course you will develop the skills and knowledge required to maintain industry knowledge and manage your own professional practice within the creative arts industry.

The skills which you will gain from this course will be developed through industry observation and you will learn to build industry awareness and networking skills which will be essential when locating employment.

Overview of Assessment

Assessment for this course will involve demonstration of practical tasks and testing of your knowledge.


Assessment Tasks

Assessment 1/3

Creative Arts Sector Analysis Research Report

In this assessment task you will conduct research into two live production or audiovisual industry organisations and present your findings by answering a series of questions in a written report.

Runs classes 1-5. Due at the end of class 5.

 

Assessment 2/3

Industry Protocols and Procedures Presentation

In this assessment task you will research one live production or audiovisual organisation from the creative arts sector and present your findings in a live presentation to other students whilst being observed by the assessor. 

Runs classes 6-9. Due at the end of class 9.

 

Assessment 3/3

Participate in the Creative Arts Industry

In this assessment you will participate in two professional development activities and then complete a written report on what you did in each of the two activities.

Participating in the two professional development activities will be done outside of class.

 

Runs classes 6-14. Due at the end of class 14.
