Course Description
In this course you will cover skills and knowledge required to plan and manage pre-production and production operations in specialist areas, such as lighting, audio, vision systems, stage management, costume, sets, props, scenic art and staging. These skills will apply to both interactive, mobile, animated and games media in addition to live action film making.
This is the designated Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course for C6151 Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media and C6151IM Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media (Interactive Media). In this course, feedback from industry and/or community is integral to your experience.

Other required resources include, but are not limited to: an A4 or A3 visual diary, drawing materials (pencils of various grades (1B & 2B), erasers, coloured pencils and pens, graphic markers such as Copic brand) broadband internet access, suitable digital media storage such as a portable hard drive or USB 3.0 flash drive, with at least 128Gb capacity.

Assessment Tasks
Assessment Task 1 - Short Answer Knowledge Questions. For this assessment, you are required to respond to a series of short answer questions. Due Date: week 2
Assessment Task 2 - Prepare Pre-Production Documentation as Director, Cinematographer, Sound Recordist and First AD. In preparation for pre-production, as well as production and post-production operations consistent with the responsibilities of your role, you will be required to instruct and collaborate with crew members to ensure that technical and creative requirements of your screen production are met by developing industry-standard working documents and adhering to on-set location filming procedures and protocols. Due Dates: weeks 3 to 13
Assessment Task 3 - Prepare and Provide Evaluation Feedback. As part of Realise Productions and in a variety of crew roles, you will monitor and resolve problems as they arise. You will reflect on and write an evaluation about creative and technical outcomes of your production, as well as other productions, as a result of collaborating and working with crew members (on at least three occasions through various crew roles). Upon completion of your evaluations of yourself and your peers, you will share information to complete an additional report listing recommendations for improvement for future productions. Due Dates: weeks 7 to 14
