Course Description
In this course you will cover skills and knowledge required to implement systems and processes to manage media assets for screen productions and digital projects.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester. Your knowledge of course content is assessed through participation in practical exercises, knowledge assessment tasks and practical projects.
Assessment Tasks
For each assessment task you will receive a detailed brief specifying requirements
To demonstrate competency in this course you will need to complete the following assessments to a satisfactory standard.You will receive feedback on all assessments.
Assessment Tasks
Assessment Task 1 - Media Asset Management - Preproduction. The student post producer / asset manager will, in collaboration with a student data wrangler, establish a file management system for asset management, and a post-production schedule GANNT Chart for your semester 2 major production. Due Date: week 3
Assessment Task 2 - Media Asset Management - Production and Post-production. You will continue your role as the student post producer/asset manager working in collaboration with a (student) data wrangler to implement systems and processes to manage the media assets for the semester two major screen production undertaken as part of this program. You will use the media assets management system and post-production GANNT Chart developed in assessment task one to manage the media assets on this production, record the progress and location of the media assets making changes and adjustments as needed. Due Date: week 14
Assessment Task 3 - Media Asset Management - Evaluation. This assessment is in two parts, firstly you the student director / asset manager will review the effectiveness of your established media asset management system and your post-production schedule GANNT Chart for your semester 2 major production and reflect on areas for future improvement. Secondly you are required to respond to nine short answer questions to reflect and evaluate your progress in editing for the screen and demonstrate your knowledge in managing media assets. Due Date: week 15
Assessment tasks 1, 2 and 3 are to be finalised by no later than end of Semester 2 Week 16.
