Course Description
This course describes the skills and knowledge required to develop, implement and monitor service responses with a person with disability. Work is undertaken within a legislative and ethical framework to ensure the provision of high quality, person-centred service delivery which supports the person’s aspirations, needs, rights and interests.
This course applies to workers in varied disability service contexts. Work performed requires a range of well developed, person-centred skills where some discretion and judgement is required and workers will take responsibility for their own outputs.

Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this course you will have developed and applied the skills and knowledge required to demonstrate competency in the above elements.
Overview of Assessment
This course is assessed with the course CHCDIS008 Facilitate community participation and social inclusion.
There will be three forms of assessment including knowledge quizzes, simulated assessments and practical assessments undertaken in the work place.
Students are given two (2) attempts for each assessment to demonstrate the required skills. A third (3rd) attempt can only be offered after discussions between teacher and the Program Coordinator and is not automatic. Resubmissions beyond two (2) attempts are at the discretion of the teacher and/or coordinator.
